On October 27th, Kenner Garden Hotel issued a purchase order for sign removal and design work. Haithem Mansour and Jayson Desroches identified themselves as Hilton representatives and communicated using official Hilton email addresses. At their urgent request, work began the next day (Saturday) and continued on Monday to meet their rebranding deadline.
Over the next two weeks, we completed three rounds of design revisions, finalizing designs for five signs and a van wrap. Subsequently, we discovered that the purchase order was invalid. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the matter and secure payment, Jayson Desroches and Haithem Mansour have declined to fulfill their financial obligation for the completed work.
This situation highlights significant challenges faced by small businesses in New Orleans when working with clients who fail to uphold fair business practices. Instances like these undermine trust and respect within the local business community, placing hardworking contractors at a disadvantage.
If you are a contractor who has experienced a similar situation, please use the form below to share your case. Your input can help inform others and potentially prevent further incidents.
Note: Jayson Desroches and Haithem Mansour has no permission to use any designs until payment is received.
